Natural Novel book review

Someone else read this. I feel like it's my duty to make someone read it. One of the best books I've read, though I think most of you have tastes that differ from mine. It's short, sad, funny, and absolutely different from everything else. It's by Georgi Gospodinov, a Bulgarian author.

Product: jergens natural glow daily mosturizer

this is another one of those sunless tanner lotions. the idea here is that you use it everyday and it has the tiniest bit of sunless tanner in it, so the color develops over the period of several days. very cool idea, but you have to be dilligent about using it everday. not a problem, its light...

Product - Neutrogena Active Breathable Sunblock

Finally, I think I've found a sunblock I like for outdoor sports. It goes on smoothly, then disappears. Smells decent, and doesn't leave any sticky/greasy residue. All the other products I've tried left me feeling "slimed" after a run, and seemed to attract more dirt during trail runs. Good stuff,...

Movie Review: Silver City (2004)

All I knew of Silver City is that it was the John Sayles movie where Chris Cooper does a killer impersonation of W. He does. But that's not really what the movie is about. Dickie Pilager (get it?) is running for Governor of Colorado. He's a fairly slow talking, dim-witted, easily confused and easily...

Morning Star and Boca Products

It is simply amazing what these companies have done to make going vegetarian easier. Everything from fake chicken strips, buffalo chicken nuggets, chicken nuggets, corn dogs, burgers, etc... Granted, these don't taste exactly like the original meat products, but they are very close (texture and...

Movie Review: Mean Girls (2004)

A film by Mark S Waters Being a teenaged movie starring Lindsay Lohan, "Mean Girls" was going to be a moderately successful movie no matter how funny or well made the movie actually was. It was aimed at a target demographic of teenaged girls (and perhaps teenage males who just want to look at...

Movie Review: Love Actually

This was a surprisingly good movie. Gentleman, want to score points, take your wives, gf, signifigant others to see this film. It was warm hearted and sweet, and pretty darn funny in places. I never looked at my watch, and was sad to see it end. It's a series of snapshots of relationships in...

Movie Review: Kronk's New Groove (2005)

Disclaimer: I have not seen "The Emperor's New Groove" and have no idea what the movie may be about, except that I imagine it has something to do with an emperor who finds a new groove. Whatever, exactly, that means. Now, with that disclaimer out of the way let's talk about the sequel to that...

Movie Review: Being Julia (2004)

Being Julia is really only notable as a film because it is the movie which garnered Annette Bening an Oscar nominee to once again pit her against Hilary Swank in the category of Best Actress in something of a rematch of the 1999 Academy Awards when Swank won the Oscar for her performance in Boys...
