We asked what type of help would make it easy for people to start participating in online discussions, and more than 30% of poll respondents said that help from other and more experienced users would be the most beneficial. About 9% of participants claim they don't like to read and prefer illustrated explanations, and about the same number responded they fancy a short onsite video tutorial. Ten percent of people give up when they can't find a way to participate, and like to get all the instructions they need as soon as they sign up to join discussion boards.
