Has anyone had more luck with any treatments? I tried Aloe Vera oil, but it just seemed to irritate my skin if I left it on. Just leaving it be doesn't seem to help. People who've recovered, how often did you shower/have a bath ? Did you wash the area a lot?I'm gonna try each of the methods listed, in the following order.1. Lotromin has also been recommended as its good for dermatitis, which i think i may have

2. Multiple people have recommended refraining from playing down there and using Neosporin.

3, One guest tried 'Penaten cream' and said that worked, so I'm gonna try that first.

4. Aquafor

5. One guy said hydrocortisone 1percent twice a day

6. if that doesn't work i'm gonna try Cicabio as @gmoney said that worked quite well for him -used twice a day. he used Aloe Vera at night, but that hasn't done me any favours! It's gonna be a depressing couple of months lol.

Hi Guys,

Solution!!

I wanted to provide you an update.  I had mentioned that I had used a steriod cream on the little general, and it seemed to help.  It gave it a little relief and then went right back to it's miserable life.

After several months I finally went to a DERMATOLOGIST.  A lot of Family docs and urologists just don't have the training to determine the true cause of issues such as ours.

He identified it in 10 seconds as a severe yeast infection.  Yes, we can get them too.  Apparently it can get extremely aggravated during sex, hence the redness and pain.  He prescribed 2 prescription pills to take, one each week.  I'm on my first pill and the pain is gone, and color is getting back to normal.  He also said that all the steriod creams I was using only made it worse, so guys, stop using the steriods!!!

He did give me a very good natural cream to use called Vaniply.  You can get it through Amazon.  It did a great job easing the symptoms until the pill cleared everything up.

Guys, PLEASE stop listening to all the home remedies and get to a dermatologist.  It's the only way you're gonna clear this up.

Lol revenge will come. That's cute.. My bf is also black and uncircumcised. He had it right on the skin not the penis but the skin u pull back. It doesn't hurt during sex cuz I'm slippery when wet, but it is not healing and we have limited sex to twice a day. The vaseline works but the skin that grows back is thin and it breaks. It's like it comes to a healing point buuuuut then breaks ugh.. Aggravated!!

Not the first time I've run into this problem over the last couple years, at first I was proscribed conesten for a yeast infection as everyone here knows it doesn't work. So I was given lubriderm and to my surprise it did work though through prescription only was a pain in the ass to get if needed. So flash forward a few years to about a couple weeks ago. Same issue not down to visit the clinic. Tried zinc oxide cream and it helped quite a bit but only to a certain extent. I then used polysporin triple action wtvwtv and worked like a charm less then 24 hours later. My skin is back to normal no redness! Also should mention it's been about a week or more since I've had any sexual activity. Goodluck gents

I had a friction burn on my penis head that would scab over, then heal a little, then scab over for 3 months.   I thought my life was over!!!!      I went to 3 doctors, it was not herpes, aids, cancer or any STD.  I tried everything and nothing worked.   Neosporin, aloe, vaseoline, bactine, psorisen, even soaked it in oatmeal.    third doctor prescribed an anti-fungal cream and it healed up in a few days!!!!!    It is called  clotmazole and benamethasone dipropionate, it was $120 for a small tube, but I would have paid 10 times that!!!!!

I had a friction burn on my penis head. It would turn red, then scab over, then look ok a day or two and then do the same thing over again. This went on for 3 months. I had STD tests that came back fine. First doctor prescibed bacotine or something like that, it did not work, second doctor told me to keep vasoline on it, that did not work. I tried aloe, hydrogen peroxide, neposporin, psorisin, even vagisil and soaking it in oatmeal, nothing worked and I thought my life was over. The third doctor prescibed an anti-fungal cream called Clotrimazole Betamethasone Dipropionate Lotion and it healed up within a week!!! It was expensive $120 for a small bottle but I would have paid 10 times that!!!!

I'd say don't put anything on down there that's not made for the penis unless a doctor recommends it. Maybe you're skin is dry in general and needs a moisturizer to be more resilient. Man1 Man Oil is a good option.

Friction burn! Enjoyable sex and masterbation yet it does damage to ones member. Have struggled with this for 4 years and have done all the std tests with all negative, whew. Flares up after sex or masterbation, even after it lessens or goes away. My advice is change your techniques, you might be twisting when masterbating when will cause friction to the shaft on circumsized men. So change technique first to see if it clears or lessens, use more lube during sex (even a little spit can work wonders), and what I have found to help greatly is aquafor- it's a me a medical type of Vaseline. Just apply as needed, it might get greasy but it has helped me tremendously. So lay off of playing with it for a few days, it's tough to do, and apply the aquafor as needed- even Chapstick can work so you don't have to carry that bottle around! I'd recommend that aquafor stuff and to take a few days of rest. I've done countless searches and have had so many panick attacks but have full confidence in this product. Chill out and good luck!

Circumcision is the cause of most friction irritation.

Medical doctors introduced circumcision in the 19th century to unforeskin the penis and make it impossible to masturbate. It did not stop masturbation but it made it harder to do and perhaps less enjoyable.

How one does it depends on whether one has an internally lubricated movable foreskin that glides up and down the shaft or whether you have been unforeskinned. If you are foreskinned, then all you need to do is glide your foreskin back and forth.

The foreskin is internally lubricated with lymphatic fluid and glides without friction. The outer foreskin glides over the inner foreskin. It is not necessary or desirable to retract the foreskin. Foreskinned guys normally do not require additional lubrication. The numerous nerves inside the foreskin are stimulated by the motion and generate pleasurable sensations.

Foreskinned guys must be careful not to stress their frenulum because it can tear or snap.

Long and vigorous masturbation can cause the foreskin to become edematous and swollen, which is painless and not a cause for alarm. The edema usually goes down within about 24 hours. Pulling back too hard is apt to stretch the frenulum and may tear it.

If you are unforeskinned and the skin is taut and immovable, then you will need some lubrication and you need to slide your hand up and down the shaft. You will likely injure yourself without lubricant. Friction burns are common when a male without foreskin masturbates without lubricant. Some lubricants are baby oil, vegetable oil, personal lubricant, soapy water, and saliva.

Products containing harsh, irritating chemicals should not be used. Shampoo and body wash have been found to be irritating and should not be used.

It is common for an unforeskinned male, who has been deprived of his internally lubricated foreskin, to have friction irritation if he does not apply external lubricant.

I would only use a cream made for the penis. Man1 Man Oil is a good moisturizer -- it can help the skin heal and keep it more resilient in the future. It's got both Shea butter and vitamin E in it.

For anyone who is still struggling with this, my doctor prescribed me a cream called Timodine which is an antifungal cream 0.1% hydrocortizone. After a week of using this I was able to have sex again withouth anything swelling/burning. I still have the scar but hopefully some aloe vera cream will clear this up a bit.

I am just so happy that me and my girlfriend have our sex lives back.
