Easy heal thus far. Cortizone 10 cream and neosporin. Apply both. Everyday....at least 3 to 4 times. One on top of the other. Get yourself erect at least once a day to stretch the skin. You may see dry loose skin flakes or even bleed. Its fine. Relax. Even cum as long as you're very gentle and focus on the un damaged skin with only two fingers. Again. Gently clean in shower. Apply cortizone 10 and neosporin one on top of the other a few times a day. And get erect in between applications to stretch the skin and get the meds in there. I healed in less than a week.

The key is prevention. I had this all the time, then I learned the power of coconut oil. Every time I get out of the shower I just slap a little on. Keeps it soft and allows the skin the stretch more. Also coconut oil is has an antimicrobial agent to it.

Hey guys,

Biomedical Engineer from Vanderbilt University here.

I noticed redness around my penis about a year ago. I started getting cuts from sex and sex became painful. On dry days, especially in the winter, i would notice a white ring of dry skin around the shaft of my penis made of dried, flaky skin.

I went to a really good dermatologist and he suspected I have BXO -- which I also suspected after doing literally 30 days of straight research on my condition (reading actual clinical studies from medical journals and not c**p google links).

BXO is basically a chronic inflammation of the skin. Many times, men get a fungus infection on their penis (also known as jock itch) from the sweat and dirt. This is acute skin inflammation easily treated by topical steroids. Such acute skin inflammations may also result from STDs, particularly untreated chlamydia (I didnt have symptoms so i had chlamydia for about 35 days before get diagnosed and taking antibiotics and this is the reason i suspect my acute inflammation eventually turned into BXO).

So I have BXO. There is currently no cure for it. Doctors prescribe topical steroid creams, but they do not actually solve the problem, they only relieve the symptoms. They also make your skin thinner, which is the last thing I need considering how thin and tender my skin is from BXO. Therefore, I sat down and spend days upon days researching studies, clinical trials, and natural herbs to ACTUALLY CURE myself, not just treat my symptoms.

It was an awful experience at first and I got depressed thinking I will never have sex ever again. But thanks to my research, I found hope.

SOLUTION:
I found this regime to be very effective and I have improved a lot since I first noticed this tender, thin red skin.

If you are uncircumsized, start pulling back your foreskin every day and keeping it pulled back all day. It'll be really annoying at first but you;ll get used to it within the first 2 weeks. The reason why this helps is because the foreskin creates a moist, urine rich environment trapping dirt that irritates your skin and activates your immune system, which only attacks your own skin cells and makes them even worse (hence the red tender skin).

Next, buy Now Foods Castor Oil 16 oz and Organic, Virgin, Unrefined Coconut Oil. Virgin, unrefined coconut oil hasnt been processed and so it contains all of its original, healing properties.

After you shower in the MORNING, FIRST apply the castor oil to the affected area and rub it in. Next, apply the coconut oil to the affected area. Repeat this at night after your shower. Feel free to do this even 2 more times throughout the day if you have the chance. I dont because of work.

Ive tried honey, coconut oil alone, aloe, skin lotion, and many other options but none of them worked. This combination has proved successful and once again am back to having sex with my girlfriend 100% pain free. I even have condomless sex without a tear or a cut on my skin anymore. I don't recommend this, but sometimes nature just calls.

Anyway, be patient. I noticed serious improvements after 6-8 weeks. You'll be able to have painless sex all again!

The only issue is that i noticed my skin still remains a little red and it seems thin. It is definitely a lot better than it was a year ago, and it does not tear no where near as easily, however, it still seems a little thin. Chronic inflammation is a beast and it can take a long time to fully cure yourself and heal. I am currently doing more research into medical journals and studies and experimenting with natural herbs to find a cure. I will keep you guys posted!

Don't worry, theres definitely hope!

I forgot to mention, acute inflammation left untreated eventually turns into chronic inflammation aka BXO. My castor oil + coconut oil have tamed this beast and my motivation to actually cure myself and help others is sky high.

Use what babies use- nappy rash creams and coat with nappy rash powder. Time heals- so no sex for awhile until healed.

Guys, don't be putting Talc on your penis. This is a very bad thing to do. I read somewhere (Book not internet) that this can cause all sorts of other problems. I have had this problem for a while. It seems to go away but then it comes back and always in the same place, So i know it isn't an STI. At first I thought it was thrush and used creams, it helped at first but then it came back whilst I was still using it. I used to put oils on myself a lot, I found doing this made it worse. I am intrigued by some of the answers on here so might try a few. No body seems to mention that it can get itchy but that subsides and there really is no pain. Maybe some aching around the helmet when erect. From what I can tell it is some sort of friction dermatitis so I was thinking to use some eczema creams. Anyone else tried this?

That obviously doesn't mean using the medicinal cream as a lube.

This happened to my boyfriend after a particularly vigorous reunion between us. His doctor prescribed a carbol-fuchsin solution (know by the trade name Castellani Paint). It is a drying antiseptic solution that was developed some 100 years ago. It needs to be prepared by a compounding pharmacy because its shelf-life is quite short. It worked wonderfully! Stings a lot at the start, as the healing goes along, the stinging gets less and less. It also paints the skin purple(!) so don't be shocked; the stain washes off with a little bit of alcohol. Don't bother to remove the color until its healed. Also, he found it a good idea to protect the wound with gauze specially meant for burns (coated with plastic, so that it doesn't stick to the wound). We were back together in two weeks, good as new, no recurrences, and lots of happy sex. (BTW, don't save the solution after you are done because it breaks down to toxic compounds after a few months. If you have bad luck and need it again, buy a fresh solution).
Good luck!

Hey everyone, I'm going through something similar for the past month, very depressing. Been reading a lot of forums and wanted to contribute. However, my case is an allergy to a condom that led to a yeast infection/inflammation. Note that my yeast infection symptoms were skin peeling (after 1 week from allergic reaction), redness and burning (mine was not itchy nor did I have any discharge). Each of our cases is unique, so I would go to a trusted dermatologist immediately if you question anything. The $$$ is worth it in the long run. In short, my dermatologist gave me good instructions and expectations.

1) use lotromin (clomitrozole cream) 2x per day (in my case she said until symptoms are gone or around 4 weeks).
2) use hydrocortisone 1% ointment along with the lotromin 2x per day for a week. then drop hydrocortisone down to 1x per day the next week, and then every other day the 3rd week. and then stop. This is important because if you just stop the hydrocortisone cold turkey then the inflammation/flare up can come back.
3) use vaseline or aquafor in between the use of lotromin. apply thin layer of vaseline or aquafor 2-3x during the day. this allows for a protective barrier.
4) no sexual activities including oral, hand jobs, masturbation for at least a month.
5) expectations of area: after a month yeast infection should be gone. general sensitivity in area could last 3-6 months.

Note the things I have tried on their ownnthat didn't work:
1) vaseline
2) aloe vera
3) neosporin
4) antibiotic cream
5) benadryl and advil

The first derm i went to was 3 days after the reaction, he was a colleague of my primary derm (only appointment i could get). He just prescribed me Nystatin + steroid cream for 7 days. from my understanding this type of steroid cream is the one that thins your skin, so thats why my primary derm changed it to lotromin + hydrocortisone when i went for my follow up. I would see a dermatologist vs just your primary care physician (as my PCP said it would resolve on it own in time, which is wrong).

hope this helps, I will keep you guys updated.

I had the same symptoms. After 3 weeks of Neosporin, Pematen and other so called helpful creams I went to my Doctor. I had a "yeast infection" and a little "thrush" Are you kidding me , a yeast infection? I bought otc a "Clotrimazole Cream 1%" and a scrip " Emo Cort 2.5% Hydrocortisone Cream" Applied both, together, on effected area. Cleared up 90 % in on day. The paper cuts may take a few days but are certainly much smaller and less painful. Good luck, I hope this info may help you and your condition.
