Our daughter is 15 and non virgin and finially made her First Communion this past May 20th with the 2nd graders in the class of 2018.She wore the knee length, sleeveless communion dress and veil with the lace anklets and the white 'mary jane'shoes. She had the cloth diaper, plastic pants and sleeveless undershirt under her dress just like the little girls had.She looked very cute and liked wearing the outfit. Her being non virgin didnt bother her or us much as it was the communion we focused on!

Our daughter is 14 and lost her virginity earlier this past summer to a boy she had a strong crush on and we finially had her baptized on October 7th in the fall baptism class. She,along with all the other preteen and teen girls, wore the traditional white knee length, infant style gown with the matching bonnet, white under shirt, cloth diaper, rubberpants, white tights and white mary jane shoes. No one knew that she wasnt virgin and the day went well for her.

Some brides are non-virgin on their wedding day and they wear their bridal gowns and veils,so i dont see why a 15 year old non virgin girl cant wear the white baptism dress and bonnet! I think that if the girl is truly repentant and sorry for her mistake, then the white outfit is appropriate. The only thing is that by wearing the white outfit, her and her parents are leading the congregation into thinking the girl is virgin, when she is really not and it can leave feelings of guilt on the girls mind.I have known a few teen girls who were baptized as non virgins and wore the full outfit and really no one could tell that they were not virgins.

To guest in the post above-You are right,it can leave feelings of guilt on the girls minds and also the parents minds as well. The girl(s) have to be sorry and truly repentant and vow not to have sex again untill their wedding night and it must be stressed by her parents! This also happened in our family as well! Our daughter lost her virginity at 15 to a boy she had a strong crush on two months before her sweet 16 birthday. We had her baptized three months after her birthday in the May baptism class with the other preteens and teens.Like all the other girls in her class,we too dressed her in the traditional, white, poofy top of the knees, sleeveless baptism dress and bonnet with the white tights and white shoes and the cloth diaper and rubberpants under the tights with a sleeveless undershirt as her top.It was a solemn event and we focused on her baptism and she made her commitment to god.Only her dad and i knew she wasnt virgin and we really put it out of our minds for the day.

Our parish is old and strict and all the girls 17 and under being baptized are required to wear the white, puffy, knee length, short sleeve dress and bonnet with the undershirt cloth diaper, plastic pants, tights and white mary jane shoes. It doesnt matter if the girls are virgin or not, they still have to wear the outfit and are considered babies for their baptism.
