The diet definitely works but any diet will if you follow it. I lost 30 pounds in 3 months but gained it all back within months and so has everyone else I know that has been on it. It's basically starvation, you cannot keep up that low calorie amount forever and as soon as you start eating your body takes it all in and keeps it. Works but not a good idea

I am on this diet now. I have lost 30lbs and need another 30 to get to my goal weight. It is strict and I am starting to not look forward to the injections.
I am feeling good but I do feel hungry and feel like I can't have food I want. However, it is working and I really needed help to get this weight off. I am looking forward to be able to eat healthy foods I love like avocado, bananas, cheese! What I must say is having to weigh everything has really opened my eyes about portions. Before I ate like a glutton, and stopped when I felt stuffed. I now know I can have a meal and feel satisfied. The water is a good habit as well. I needed to drink more water. So yes it is rigid, but for someone like myself who needs serious results quickly, I say do it. I will continue on some of the new habits I learned to love, like almond milk in my coffee instead of creamer. once I get on my maintenance I will probably continue on with during my work week eating. Lean and allowing myself on weekends to enjoy other foods.

Easy, move more eat less, no rocket science here. If I want to loose weight after a period of excess, I just move more and eat less and WOW, the weight comes off. Nobody is fat from the wind, they eat too much regardless of what they say.

There is a 'flake' for every occasion in the US. That is what makes this a tough issue. To know facts from opinions. To understand the complexity and make sound choices, that is our challenge.
Don't waste your money. It is a fad re-run from the 80s. Simply put.....you lose weight cause you only eat 900 cals a day. starvation. Does nothing to teach nutrition or other good habits. Been there done that. The staff, at my location, where totally useless. Not their fault, Nigeria is not known for medical science. Save your money. Find a good dietitian and get on a real plan. They will give you real value for your money. Heck, a freebie like MyFitnessPal app is more useful to weight loss than Dr. B.
I’m 5’7 also. 10 weeks ago I weighed 184lbs. Today I am 148. The diet does work but takes a lot of discipline ( and money)
Yep.....and what did you learn to keep it off? Nothing from Dr. B's diet. It is the lack of long term results must people have issue with. There is no longterm with Dr. B. He takes the money and runs.....
I disagree, that eating 6 small meals a day is the answer for everyone.
The reprimand I believe is because it's the Bernstein Brand, they want success. I've been reprimanded too. But hey life happens. The diet works and it's safe with blood work being done and doctor check ups.
