Getting hsv2 is not a death sentence . There are many dating sites for hsv2 people. Its like getting chickenpox
.its no big deal. The stigma about genital.herpes started in 1980s after an advertisement for a topical cream for hsv2 was introduced. The ad made a mockery of genital herpes. Imagine before 1980s. Everyone was ok about genital herpes being a skin disease. Nowadays people ars so terrified of getting infected. Once you're sexually active, with condoms or no condoms, u are bound to get it sooner or later.
So chill , life will get better after the first out break.

Updating this one as well. All went good, it's been almost three months since the breakout and all I had since then was just a regular yeast. I'm so thankful!!! I'm following this thread constantly to see how you're all doing.. I know it's the worst feeling, but this too shall pass believe me and you will feel much better soon just go get something prescribed and really PUSH your doc, and do not feel ashamed any second!!!! You are in pain and deserve a decent treatment with respect whether it's herepes or not!!! Good luck xxx
I'm glad ur ok. Still u need to boost ur immune system. I'm just like you. I constantly had yeast infection and started getting hive like rashes on my uppers thighs before period. Then one day my vagina had these bumps, it appeared two days after I had sex. It went away on its own without any severe symptoms. I had two blood test done in the space of 6 months. Negative for both types of herpes. I was quite relieved.
Last month however, the bumps came back and this time they oozed pus. I took acyclovir and it healed within 7 day. I need to wait another 3 months to get tested. Sigh!

Hello. I know this is a long shot but did you get results back? Please help
Hi,
I wanted to give my experience as reading this thread was helpful to me.
I had protected sex with a new partner, but unprotected oral sex. You can use the timeline below to see how things progressed.
Day 1 - Had protected sex but unprotected oral sex.
Day 4 - began feeling flu like symptoms
Day 5 - began feeling the onset of a uti (which I do have)
Day 6 - uti symptoms are in full force, feel irritation on vaginal lips (no bumps)
Day 7 - uti symptoms still present, noticing bumps at beginning of day, many at the end. These bumps were painful, but were flesh colored bumps and did not look like they were filled with liquid
Day 8 - same thing
Day 9 - notice sores where the bumps have been, they look like tentacle suckers, nothing is really clustered like typical herpes, just lots of individual sores. There are a few cases where the 2 sores may overlap.
Day 10 - doctors visually diagnoses as herpes
Day 11 - sores get worst, peeing is very painful when urine touches the sores. More sores pop up even when on here's medicine, mainly in areas that are more moist (inner lips)
Day 13 - diagnosed with hsv-1
Hope this is helpful to people out there - in summary
My symptoms were uti like, with multiple individual bumps which became open sores that then looked like octopus tentacle suckers. It wasn't the traditional herpes description but I tested positive for hsv-1

I'm going through the exact same thing and I'm terrified. I have an iud for birth control and since then I've always gotten bad UTI's. Well one day a little over a week ago I went pee and ended up in tears, it got so bad to the point I couldn't pee unless I was drunk because then I couldn't feel it. But once the burning stopped I had a thick white colored discharge which had a slight odor to it. Then while wiping one day in hot something just on the inside of my lip on my vagina and found to small white blisters, the one still remains extremely small and doesn't hurt but every time I wipe it gets hit so the other one is kinda irritated but it hurts so bad and is so uncomfortable. I'm so scared to go to the doctors because I don't want it to be herpes I'm only 19. But I've looked at pictures and it's not a cluster and doesn't really look like the pictures, I'm scared to go to the doctors but I want it to stop hurting
I wanted to share my story because this thread is the only thing that calmed me down earlier this week.
3 weeks ago I had protected sex but unprotected oral sex.
About a week later I had sex again and it was extremely uncomfortable and I was in pain and it continued to get worse.
My symptoms were: swelling, discomfort, painful urination, pain like cuts near the my vagina. I also had small red bumps around my vagina and one on my butt. I was producing a cottage cheese like discharge without a smell so I assumed all of this was a very bad yeast infection.
However my partner developed a few red bumps on his penis so my anxiety went to a level 10 since I also had red spots. None of our red spots were in clusters nor looked like blisters. And did I mention the ITCHING?!! horrible. I couldn't sleep. Thankfully I read on here the tip about leaning forward while I peed. Saved my life. Thank you all.
My boyfriend was swabbed for herpes, came back negative. I was swabbed for herpes and came back positive for HSV1, but negative for HSV2. I believe my boyfriends physician only swabbed for HSV2 since 1 is so common.
I was in shock until the doctor walked me through the facts. More than half of Americans have HSV1. I made the decisions to take a Valtrex daily to prevent outbreaks and viral shedding that could infect my partner. It's cold sores and I have wrapped my head around the fact that I was unlucky enough to get them on my genitals.
I'm 35 years old and never had an outbreak orally or in my genitals. So I'm hoping this was an incident I won't have to repeat anytime soon.
Thank you all for sharing your stories and for the support shown in this thread. It calmed me down so much.

Hey I am having this same problem and I just got my period on top of it and I don't know if I should wear a tampon or pad?
Hi, I spoke to my doc about this and she did not reccomend using tampons while all of this is happening. When there's a possibility of staph infection present there is a risk of getting toxic shock syndrome, which could be deadly. Pads are perhaps less comfortable with the sores but safer, so just in case I wouldn't use the tampons until you get a diagnosis & treatment.
I am experiencing something very similar. I started my period on the 17th. It only lasted until the 19th which is not unusual because they normally last 3-4 days. I noticed during the end that putting in and taking out tampons started to be a little painful as well as it started to burn when I peed. Around the 20th I noticed bumps popping up around my vagina and anus area (sorry if that is tmi). Yesterday, I decided to actually get a good look at them and they're not leaking any infection or anything and some of them look like blisters. This may be irrelevant but it hurts around my pelvic area as well. It almost feels like its bruised on both side but there are no visable bruises. It also hurts like hell to pee now, to the point where I haven't drank anything since yesterday so I wouldn't have to. It hurts to walk and sometimes even sit. I've googled my symptoms which is probably one of the most self destructive things to do because I've got results varying from yeast infection to herpes. I have never been so scared in my entire life. I'm currently sexually active so honestly herpes is a possibility, I suppose. I have been procrastinating on going to the doctor because I just really do not want to hear that I have an STD. I plan on going tomorrow but I'm sure the results will take at least a week. If someone has any kind of idea of what in the hell is going on, PLEASE let me know. Also, any encouraging words will help as well because I am currently about to lose my mind. Thanks I'm advance.
I think I will use your medication, cos all the test u did including blood but only found candida, after the medication , just before or after my mesnsturation The sores breaks out again. So I'll get the medication you used and hope it gets better.
I mean all the test I did
Hello, the pain you experience on both sides in the pelvic area are your lymph nodes that got swollen, if you touch it you could feel little painful lumps. It indicates that your body is fighting something and working hard to get you in the right place again :) it will subside eventually, the thing you need to do is really push yourself and go visit the doctor, you cannot cure anything by ignoring it out of fear. Save yourself the suffering, I know what you're going through but trust me in the end all that matters is just your comfort and health, leave the diagnosis to the doctor, stop worrying and go take care of yourself. Best of luck xx
You and your partner need to be tested again for herpes. Epsom salt baths help relieve pain of blisters. Good luck
Sounds like herpes: pain when peeing, white blisters either flat with eventual red border or acne looking liquid filled bumps. Face the truth and get treated. Avoiding truth only leaves you in further pain and unhealthy. You must inform future partners after diagnosis confirmed.
