red bump (help!)

last night I identified a red raised bump in my pubic area about a half of an inch to the right of the bottom my penis. It looks kind of like a bug bite, but also like a pimple but without any sort of head to it. is this dangerous/a disease? it's not touching my penis, but is fairly close. thanks
