Antianxiety drugs depress the central nervous system and suppress anxiety, sleepiness and relax muscles. They are also called downers or minor tranquilizers. When abused, many of these drugs can lead to unconsciousness and death. Sedatives include: barbiturates, benzodiazepines, carisoprodol, glutethimide, ketamine (Ketaset®), opioids, opium, and zopiclone. Talk about all antianxiety drugs on this forum.

 I've been taking 225 mg Effexor for too many years to even remember. My health insurance is gone and I can't afford it. I have 1 dose left. I can't afford any to taper down and I can't afford to miss work. What do I do?

How to withdraw from Effexor? I already had terrible experience coming off of Zoloft
