Whenever you hear or read about autoimmune hepatitis, it seems to be generally accepted that the cause of it is unknown and will remain so. But they must have done lots of genetic research and found some markers at least? If you know abut any autoimmune hepatitis markers, please let me know.

My friend has been suspected to have polymyositis. At first, all he felt was muscle weakness. When he was sent to laboratory, high levels of ck were found. I know this is some kind of enzyme that is localized in muscle tissue. Does this mean that he has polymyositis for sure? What do you think?
