crohn's disease and ileostomy

My crohn's disease has been developing in such a way that my doctor has brought up the future potential need for an ileostomy multiple times. While I don't want this, I do understand it might become necessary at some point. Have any people here been through it, and what is life like afterwards?

I went to the dr's and gave urine. I went on my chart to find out the results and the protein in my urine was a 2+ what does that mean. I do have lupus is that really bad should i be scared.
