Spotting and still have 5 birth control pills to take

Last month my period started a bit late(Thursday)....and only lasted 3 days. Then the day after (Sunday) I spotted once, and then again that Wednesday. Its been a few weeks and Tuesday I spotted once, only on the paper. At that point I still had 5 pills left to take before my sugar pills....
