lightheadness - root cause?

I have noticed that when I sit up in a chair and watch television that I experience light headedness. Then when I lay down it is relieved, I was wondering what the difference in those two positions is. I am guessing that you get more oxygen into your brain when you are laying down?

I went to hospital and found out I have Lumbar Radiculitis but I had a big bruise on the back of my leg. They told me it was a broken blood vessel. It is going down and around my leg, Iwanted to know your opinion on this subject. I was diagnosed with CLL in 2008.
