removal of hip replacement

My husband had a hip replacement in June. With on and off infection. Had to have IV's of cipro and vancomiacin every 12 hours at home. Now the leg is very swollen and hard. My numb fingers

Rotater cuff surgery left shoulder

It has been 5 months since my surgery. Doctor said all muscles were torn. Seams like everything is alright , but when I lift small objects when I reach out I have pain and weak like lifting a pot of coffee.should it be that way after 5months?
