Can Nerves still have damage or symptoms of damage after hand/elbow surgeries

is it common for my hand to be so weak still and numb after having cubital tunnel surgery? I had carpal tunnel surgery in this May and cubital Nov of same year i am 57 year old women is it possible that the pain in my wrist and arm/elbow that possibly the nerve damage will stay?
