Corticosteroids (Hormonal preparations)

Corticosteroids are drugs related to cortisol, a hormone produced in the adrenal cortex. Corticosteroids are used primarily as anti-inflammatories but could be also used for treating some malignancies or natural hormone deficiency. Corticosteroid Drugs Include: Betamethasone (Celestone), Budesonide (Entocort EC), Cortisone (Cortone), Dexamethasone (Decadron), Hydrocortisone (Cortef), Prednisolone (Prelone), Prednisone (Deltasone) and Triamcinolone (Kenacort, Kenalog).

Epidural injections - what is a safe dosage of cortisone? I

I am scheduled for epidural cotisone injections at C4,5,6,7 - all at the same time. I have a chiropractor who is concerned that this may be too much for my spleen to handle at one time. What is a safe dosage at one time?
