Period's two days late? Too early to tell

I took an at home test and it came back negative. I have experienced all the classic symptoms of pregnancy and still I have no period cycle to show for it. Its two days late. Is it too early to determine if its pregnancy or just a late starting period?

Ok...kinda complex issue. I was diagnosed just short of a year ago with polycystic ovary syndrome, and my uterine lining was too thick. I was told at that time that the PCOS had most likely taken my fertility with it. There was a chance for regaining it, but it would probably take work. Ok...fast...
