Overnight Change of vision after wearing Ortho K lenses

My 10 year old granddaughter wore her Ortho K lenses last night for the first time.  She hae no problems, She went back to eye doctor this morning and her vision had increased in both eyes to  20/40. Her doctor is expecting her vision to get better the longer she wear them.
