High heart rate on metoprolol and alcohol intake

Im on metropolol for fast heart rate and not often af rythem. When i drink too much i get chest tension and a high heart rate. Everything ive read tells me both should slow my pulse rate. But opposite is happening. Any suggestions or similar reactions

Ok so im 13 years old and im 5"5, i weigh about 59kg and i have a resting heart rate of 52bpm. I do not know if my rhr is good or bad but i go to the gym all the time so im not sure if that effects it

EF of left ventricle is more than 78%, I have mild pain in left lower chest
