Clear Mucous Stools

My son has clear mucous stools. This will go on for several days or up to two weeks straight and then will have a brown mucous stool and maybe a semi formed stool which is brown. He has numerous test and does not have IBS or crohn's. What do you think is the cause? 8-| [/img]

excessive mucous in stools

I need to find out what may be causing excessive mucous in stools or what else this persistent diarrhea which is very dark in color and stringy and sinks to the bottom of the commode as soon as it leaves the body. It does not look like blood. It looks more like tar.
