I have lymphodemia

i have had lymphodemia since I was 9 years old and now im 14 and i don't understand why i have it. I don't have anchels, my knees are swolen and they hurt really bad and the doctors said there was no cure for it and i will have it the rest of my life. Please tell me how to reduce the swelling. :'(
