Laproscopy

Hello, I had a Leproscopy a week ago and i had total of four cuts. One close to my bely button and three on my bikini line. I needed about 10 stitches all together. As far I know, leproscopy needs no stitches, then why I needed them? Is it normal?just curious. Thank you-
