why did my period last only one day ?

so i just got my first period and at first i was just spotting and 2 days later i got a heavy period and then the next day it stopped and i was spotting again ... is that normal ? PLEASE HELP IM ONLY 13 YEARS OLD AND IM SCARED !!!
