dog lump on mouth

I noticed my dog has a lump on his mouth completely by chance a few days back. Ever since I noticed this lump, I have been quite concerned about it and I'm obviously (right?) worried that it might be a tumour of some kind. What do you think about it, and is there a cure for this kind of thing?

I could not find any good website for veterinary issues, so I thought it would be OK to ask on here instead. What is the normal age that beagles can become? I know that life expectancy varies a lot from dog to dog, so I am hoping some of you can clarify this.

herbs for dog itching

My dog keeps scratching himself. I treated him for fleas just recently so I am convinced that he has not got fleas. I have no idea what else could be causing the dog itching. But he is harming himself by the constant scratching and biting. Can I get some herbs to help the itching go away?
