IN MARCH I WILL BE HAVING MY WOMB REMOVED BUT NOT MY OVARIES. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT. WILL I FEEL EMOTIONAL AND IS 6 WEEKS A REALISTIC PERIOD OF RECOVERY. My mother had a hysterectomy over 6 months ago and is suffering with excruitiating pain in her sides - is this normal. She doesn't seem to be gettting anywhere with the doctors?

Got out of emergency room and was told I have an infection and a inflammed cervix. If it not a STD, what else could it be. I was given viral and bacterial antibotics with pain medication but was told they didn't know what it was yet?
