abdominal hysterectomy suture site welling

I had an abdominal hysterectomy just over 2 weeks ago. I have had some discomfort but have come through it in relatively good condition. I lifted some heavyish items a little early and now wonder if the lumpy swelling over the suture site is permanent. Thank you for any advice
