Bartholin's cyst draining

On monday I had a rather large bartholin cyst drained, and a catheter put in. Now it's saturday and its starting to bleed... and its been hurting since Monday. They told me that i shouldnt have any problems like this, is this normal? its not bleeding alot, but its thick and sticky.
