purdy bad acne scars on my face

Hay y'all, I have some purdy bad acne scars on my face. I started using wart remover on them to try and smooth them out. Only thing is it leaves chemical burns that forever to go away. Anybody know a better way to go about this? Can't spend a whole lot of money on it. Thanx!
