I have just had a vaginal hysterectomy, for a enlarged womb and loads of fibloids. I was 4 days in hospital and i found it good too get plenty of rest. The nurses were very helpful, and the only problem i find is that the area of the operation is sore, and i find that i have pressure when i need a bowel movement. Couldnt leave hospital without having a bowel movement, which was stressing me because i found that i had pain and no urge to do it.The nurses give me lactose and a senoket which did the job the next morning, there was just pain and pressure. But now im fine but very tired, spotting a bit each day. Having a bath every day helps. My specialist said the operation was tricky, but i feel fine. But because i have a very phyisical job, i have been told to take it easy and go back to work in 3 months.
