Is it and std or bacterial infection!

I have been having a heavy discharge for about 2 months now. It is a heavy yellow foggy, almost green color. And it has odor. My first thought would be an STD but once i did more research, it could be a vaginal bacteria infection caused from my birth control, loestrin. Help
