ingrown hair after brazilian wax

i don't shave and only wax. the first few times i have small in grown hair and it was ok. now.. i get bumps and they are sore. i tried to squeeze the bump and there's nothing. i pop and it turn dark red then it becomes hard.  how do i get rid of this? and what it is?..
