sharp and cramping vaginal pain when i walk

I don't know what's wrong but for the past week, I have had sharp vaginal pain while i walk. When im sitting, i'm fine. This is also the week before i start my period. I'm worried.! I've gone to see the doctor and am waiting on results. Does anyone else have a similar problem?
