lump on hand under skin

I am sure that you all understand that I am extremely concerned about this mobile lump, on my hand, under my skin. It's just so often that we hear on the news and on the web that lumps mean cancer, and I am too scared to even go to the doctor now. Do you have any recommendations for me please?

a cyst where my underwear lining is.

I stopped shaving for awhile to see if this would stop. But I just recently got another cyst right where my underwear lining is. If this is suppose to be caused by shaving or waxing why does it still appear even if i don't do any of that?
