nighttime stomach/abdominal discomfort

My 10 year old daughter has been complaining of not feeling well - like she's going to vomit - about 3 out of 4 nights, everytime she lies down to go to sleep. Using more pillows to elevate her head and chest seem to help, but not completely. Any ideas what might be her ailment?
