I have a 7 year old boy that appears to have had testicular pain for the past two days... he is so sore that he has to spread his legs in order to bend down and pick things up. No apparent cause or injuries have taken place.

I have just had an abscess removed from the back of my left testes. It was drained and has been packed. I was also given a 2 day course of antibiotics to help with the infection. The wound is open and is being repacked everyday. Roughly how long will it take to heal?
