every night i start to cough a lot, it hurts my chest.. after time i start to develop a sore throat.. im not sure whats causing it, but i recenlty recovered from an enflamed ear so im not sure it that had anything to do with it. what do oyu suggest i do about this pain?

I had mononucleosis in December. And now my throat hurts...it feels kind of like that, if I remember correctly. It feels like I have an ulcer in the back left side of my mouth.
