I had mononucleosis in December. And now my throat hurts...it feels kind of like that, if I remember correctly. It feels like I have an ulcer in the back left side of my mouth. And definitely hurts to swallow. But nothing on my right side. Could this be strep? I don't know what strep feels like as I have not had it since elementary school and I only had it once. Surely this can't be mono again--from what I've heard, it's rare for it to come back, especially already...right?

You need to have your throat swaped to rule out strep infection, which can have serious consequences. See a doctor as soon as possible. Don't second guess.
