Post-Tonsillectomy Recovery. Can anyone give me explanations why I feel very little pain

Answered by a doctor

I (18) had my tonsillectomy three days ago and have had virtually no pain. The only medications I am on is antibiotics and over-the-counter painkillers like Tylenol and Ibuprofen. Can anyone give me explanations why I feel very little pain (at least much less than I was expecting)?
