Bellybutton smells after i pick it!

lately ive really gotten into picking my bellybutton and seem to notice a foul stench coming from my fingers but no matter how much i keep picking it keeps stinking could my bellybutton stank be related to my finger stench? i also cant help that i have a really curious finger is that normal?
