Is motrin, vicodin & flexeril safe together?

Hubby going through bad Sciatica. After 2 trips to er they told him to take the 800mg motrin, with vicodin & flexeril muscle relaxer. He had been taking it fine for 2 doses,but 3rd dose got him sick. my husband has used vicodin for approximately 4 years. For awhile he was only using tylenol with codiene. Lately he has had erectile dysfunction and I am wondering if the codiene is the problem.
