pnuemonia and ibuprofen

I am suffering from bacterial pneumonia and I have been prescribed ibuprofen for fever and to decrease the pain. However, I have developed some sort of rash, and I stopped taking it. IS there anything else I can use for fever and this pain? Will other anti-fever meds also cause such reactions?

I went to the ER twice this week for right side chest pains. Both of the doctors that I saw believe that it is muscle related. I was prescribed motrin 600mg the first time and percocet the second.Can I take them together since one is a inflammatory and the other just for pain?
