I'm on Alessse birth control and they say that smoking can increase your chances of blood clots... Not sure if they mean weed or cigarettes. Are both unsafe or just one?

Hello, my friend took plan b on may 12 her period began on the 27 of may. She immediately started birth control when her period began. She was only on birth control for 2 weeks. There has been no sexual contact since may 12 but her period is late. Could this be due to the plan b and birth control?
