How long after stopping birth control will I cycle?

I just started the pill a little over two weeks ago, and have been spotting steadily since. For the past couple of days I broke out into hives, and so my doctor told me to stop the pill. Now I'm wondering when will I get my next period? I am sexually active, and just want to know.
