Hypertension in the morning

I used to suffer from low blood pressure but lately i have found that upon waking in the morning (06:00) my blood pressure is fairly high 150/95 by say 08:00 i am in more normal range 130:75. Is there cause for concern? I am a 58 year old male. normal weight, active though not super-fit.

Licorice and high blood pressure

I have high blood pressure with which I am taking medication. I read if you take licorice drops it speeds up your metabalism....I would like to try this but is it harmful to me if I am on blood pressure meds.
