Hammer toe Surgery and it looks like one of the pins is working its way out of toe

I had hammer toe surgery with stitches and pins 4 weeks ago. The removal of Pins and stitches is on Thursday but it looks like one of the pins is working it's way out of toe. Does this happen because I can't imagine going through this procedure again and am concerned?????
