Foot bone spur removal misery

Has anyone had a bone spur removed from top of foot? I so regret this surgery. Two months today. Foot hurts so bad my quality of life is terrible. I can't shop, work nothing. All I do is cry. Going back but don't know what good it will do. I can't imagine it takes a year to heal. Or can it?
