Corticosteroids are drugs related to cortisol, a hormone produced in the adrenal cortex. Corticosteroids are used primarily as anti-inflammatories but could be also used for treating some malignancies or natural hormone deficiency. Corticosteroid Drugs Include: Betamethasone (Celestone), Budesonide (Entocort EC), Cortisone (Cortone), Dexamethasone (Decadron), Hydrocortisone (Cortef), Prednisolone (Prelone), Prednisone (Deltasone) and Triamcinolone (Kenacort, Kenalog).

hiccups after cortisone shots - the peanut butter worked the best for me

I have also had hiccups after cortisone shots. I tried the q tips and it helped a little, but I found that the peanut butter worked best for me so far. I didn't have to eat alot at one time, I just took a large eating spoon and dipped it into th epeanut butter jar and got about 1/2 of the spoon full...

Can I take anti-inflammatories (nurofen plus) during my treatment with prednisolone?

Just needing to know whether it is safe t take anti-inflammatories (Neurofen plus) after haing followed a 9 day treatment of Prednisolone. for RA? Pain has continued (much lower leves) Panadeine Forte does help, but I am wondering whether Nurofen + may be able to work on the inflammation...

what to due about headache for second day and now nausea following cortisone injection. DO not have migraines and this kept me up all night.Used alleve,excedrin,cold packs,nothing helps with relief.How long is this subject to go on.
