Chapstick ruined my lips

I used to use Vaceline and I didn't have any problem.but one day I tried blister n later on I continued using chapstick for 3 days. Now my lips got small bumps like a sand layer. When I use it my lips starts paining and in the morning lips swell. I have stopped using CHAPSTICK and BLISTER now.
