should a pregnancy test of been done before i got sterilised

i got sterilised in september and then found out in december that i was 16 wks pregnant, therefore i must of been 3-4 wks pregnant when they done the op. Should they have tested me for pregnancy before going ahead, or do they just have to take my word for it? %-)

I am very concerned

I am on birth control. My last pill was saturday , and today (monday) I had unprotected sex. I took my pill every night at around the same time and didnt skip any days. Should I be concerned? Should I take the day after pill? Will my birth control be enough to save me from today?
