6 months no period.

Lats period July 2nd of 2007. Stopped birth control on the 5th of July. I was on the pill for 12 years.Could I be pregnant with no symptoms? Have taken many tests and a friend of mine tells me that with a hyperthyriod condition, my hormones are messed up and a test wouldn't show positive anyway.
